
Tianjin Railway Station is one of the most old railway station in China. It was founded in 1886, operate in 1888. And it is a top-grade railway passenger station, which show its important and strong passenger carrying capacity. It is a large transportation hub integrating railway, subway, bus and taxi, and is an important part of Tianjin railway hub.

The city was officially built in the second year of Yongle in the Ming Dynasty (1404), and it is the only city in ancient China with exact records of its founding time.

Layout of Tianjin Railway Station
The Tianjin Railway Station consist with 1 main building and two square. The station building at Tianjin Station using a large-span steel mesh structure for the roof and featuring a new type of stone and glass curtain wall for exterior decoration. The station includes the north station building of the Beijing-Tianjin intercity railway, an elevated waiting room, an underground entrance hall, platform rain canopies without columns, high platforms, passenger subways on the east and west sides, east-west baggage passages, and an existing south station building, with a total building area of 185,000 square meters. The north station building covers an area of 71,000 square meters, the south station building covers 33,000 square meters, and the elevated waiting room covers 22,000 square meters, with a capacity for 6,000 people waiting at the same time. The rain canopies without columns cover all the platforms, with a total area of 80,850 square meters and spanning a total of 5 directions north-south.

- Tianjin-Beijing Railway:There are around 250 trains runs between these two cities daily! The whole journey will takes only 30mins by high-speed train. Ticket price is around 50RMB for 2nd class seat.
- Tianjin-Shanghai Railway: Most high speed train are running from Tianjin Xi station. There is only 1 high-speed train and 7 normal-speed train run from Tianjin Railway Station to Shanghai Nan or Shanghai Hongqiao station.
