As the Visa-Free Transit policy continues to expand, the number of tourists from Visa-Free Transit countries is growing rapidly. Many people come to China to enjoy the beautiful scenery and delicious food. Not long ago, China expanded the scope of its Visa-Free Transit Policies to 29 countries. Now, China Visa-Free Transit Policies included 9 more countries for further supporting the convenient engagement of Chinese and foreign people. These nine countries are Bulgaria, Romania, Croatia, Republic of Montenegro, North Macedonia, Malta, Estonia, Latvia, and Japan.

Besides, China has included 'exchange visit' as a reason for Visa-Free entry and extended the duration of Visa-Free stays from 15 days to 30 days. Currently, there are a total of 38 countries (details in table ) included in the scope of China's Visa-Free Transit Policies. The people who hold common passport from these 38 countries can enjoy Visa-Free Transit if they go to China for business, travel, transit, exchange visits or visiting friends and relatives for no more than 30 days from November 30, 2024 to December 31, 2025. The people who are not suitable for the Visa-Free condition still need to apply for a visa before going to China.
