7 pairs of high speed trains are on service between Beijing Bei (North) Railway Station or Qinghe Railway Station, and Badaling Great Wall Railway Station (in Chinese: Badaling Changcheng). Taking only 19 minutes from Qinghe and 34 minutes from Beijing Bei, travel to Badaling Great Wall on a high speed train become much easier than by taxi or by bus.

The high speed train service began since December 2019, when the Jingzhang (Beijing - Zhangjiakou) Intercity Railway has completed its construction and started to operate. Before that, travelers have to ride on a bus or take a taxi to Badaling Great Wall, using at least 2 hours to transfer.

For more special, a new type of high speed train, Intelligent High Speed Train, started to service on Jingzhang Rail, which is not widely used in China currently. This Intelligent High Speed Train used the latest technology to creat a more comfortable, greener, and more energy-efficient travel experience.

At technology level, the latest type of Intelligent High Speed Train of Fuxing Hao realizes automatic drive, including automatic departure and door opening. It is the first train series that supports automatic operation at a speed of 350 km/h around the world.

For passengers, taking the intelligent high speed train will bring more comfort. The facility on the new high speed train makes the travel experience faster and smarter. For example, the lights in the business class cabin are able to adjust brightness automatically via ray perception to reduce visual impact. First class seat provides more privacy and supports to fold.

Besides, except the 2nd class seat, 1st class seat, and business class seat, there is a new type of seat faciliated on the Intelligent High Speed Train. It is called Functional Seat, and its price is higher than 2nd class seat but lower than 1st class seat.

Functional seat cabin is more like a dinning car. Each four seats are equipped with a table. It is more fun for family and friends to enjoy the whole trip.

High-Speed Train Timetable of Beijing City - Badaling Great Wall

There are less than 3 high speed trains departing from Beijing Bei (North) Railway Station - a bigger station located in Beijing downtown. While the rest and most of high speed trains serve at Qinghe Railway Station, which is a new station built in 2019 and locates out of the fifth ring of Beijing, very far from the city center. Thus, departure from Beijing Bei Railway Station takes more time on the train than from Qinghe Railway Station.

If you are staying in Beijing downtown, it's more convinient to choose the train G8813 or G8812 that departs from Beijing Bei (North) Railway Station.

Beijing Bei (North) Railway Station firstly began to operate in 2009. In 2016, it closed to service because of the construction of Jingzhang Intercity Railway. Until Dec. 30th, 2019, it reopened to receive passengers to travel on rail from Beijng to Zhangjiakou (the city that helps to hold the 2022 Beijing Winter Olympic Games), Baotou, etc.

Qinghe Railway Station was put into use in December 2019 to connects Jingzhang Intercity Railway. It's the biggest station along the railway, however, it's not as popular as Beijing Bei Railway Station.

Badaling Changcheng Railway Station also started to operate in December 2019 to serve the trains on Jingzhang Rail. It's a small station that only acommondates 1500 passengers at a time.
