1.Since February 6th, all exchange between China mainland, Hong Kong and Macao have recovered. And April 4th, the trains from China mainland to Hong Kong is resume operating. According the “Notice on the Resumption of Cross-Border Travel between Mainland China and Hong Kong/Macao Residents” by Chinese Comprehensive Group of the State Council Joint Prevention and Control Mechanism. If an incoming traveler has not been to a foreign country beside China or other overseas region within the past 7 days, they do not need to provide a negative nucleic acid test result for COVID-19. If an incoming traveler has been to a foreign country or other overseas region within the past 7 days, they need to provide a negative nucleic acid test result for COVID-19 taken within 48 hours before their departure. Infants and children under 3 years old are exempt from providing a nucleic acid test certificate. Cross-border transportation companies are required to inform passengers of these nucleic acid test requirements when selling tickets.
Regarding entry quarantine, incoming travelers need to complete necessary customs procedures with their health declaration code issued by customs. If the health declaration is normal and there are no abnormalities in the routine quarantine inspection at the customs port, incoming travelers can be into society. If the health declaration is abnormal or if symptoms such as fever occur, customs will conduct testing. If the test result is positive, incoming travelers need to undergo home or institutional quarantine or seek medical treatment as required. If the test result is negative, customs will implement routine quarantine inspection in accordance with the laws and regulations of the People's Republic of China on frontier health and quarantine. Incoming travelers need to comply with local epidemic prevention and control requirements.
2.From March 15th, the National Immigration Administration has decided to regulate the country's entry policy to better coordinate epidemic prevention and control with the needs of economic and social development, and to facilitate people-to-people exchanges between China and other countries. First, admission of entry for foreigners who have passport sign and issue before March 28th, 2020 and still in validity period. Second, resume Hainan visa-free entry, Shanghai cruise visa-free, from Hong Kong and Macao region foreigner groups to Guangdong visa-free and ASEAN tour groups entry Guilin, Guangxi visa-free.
